Most countries of the European Union continue to buy Russian gas, told the head of "Gazprom", Alexey Miller, "Kommersant" reports.
According to him, the energy resource continues to be supplied even to those countries that have declared their refusal from it. Supplies are made through the distribution hub in Baumgarten in Austria, where the gas goes through the territory of Ukraine via the Suja compressor station, Miller said.
"Actually, I wouldn't want to give any figure. Why? Because the molecules in the main gas pipeline have no national coloring," Mr. Miller said in response to a question from journalist Ivan Zarubin. He emphasized that the fuel is used even by those EU countries that "have proclaimed an official refusal to consume Russian gas."
Russian gas is being delivered to the southern and southeastern parts of the EU according to previously established agreements, he said.
In the morning today, November 11, "Gazprom" said that it was supplying 42 million cubic meters of gas through "Sudzha."
On November 8, there were 109.83 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground storage facilities of the EU countries. EU gas reserves reached a new historic high of 99.6% (9.84 p.p. more than the five-year average for this date).
