Allegations contained in former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's book on Turkey do not reflect reality. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this, Anadolu Agency reported.
Diplomatically speaking, the statements contained in Pompeo's book have nothing to do with reality. You can call it a lie. There is a bloating of facts and double standards, the Turkish minister said.
He also accused Pompeo of publishing a tweet in support of putschists in Turkey in 2016, which he then deleted. That publication was in support of the actions of terrorists, Cavusoglu noted.
Turkey's foreign minister also refuted Pompeo's claims that the Turkish army is not capable of destroying terrorists.
Cavusoglu also accused U.S. State Department chief Mike Pompeo of working with terrorists to put DEAŞ fighters in buses and then in planes and send them to Afghanistan.
